Editorial and Image Policy

This page explains how the articles, images and product picks on Bloom and Backyard are made, and how to get something corrected.

How articles are written

Every article starts with a real question people search for, such as “small backyard ideas on a budget” or “privacy without a fence”. I plan the ideas, write the text in my own voice, and use AI writing tools to draft and tidy. I review and edit every article before it is published.

Cost lines are rough ranges in US dollars based on typical retailer prices at the time of writing. They are estimates, not quotes.

Plant and growing claims

Where an article names a plant, it states the conditions that plant needs (sun or shade, drainage, rough hardiness). Claims are checked against reputable horticultural sources before publishing. I do not give advice on pesticides, on plant toxicity to pets or children, or on anything edible beyond naming common vegetables and herbs. Check your local extension service for your zone.

Images

The photographs on this site are illustrative images created with AI image tools and directed to show each idea as clearly as possible in an ordinary American yard. They are not photographs of real properties and should not be read as a record of a real place. Product photos on shopping guides come from the retailer. Pinterest graphics are made from the same images.

Products and links

Linked products are real items checked to be available at the time of publishing. Some links earn a commission; see the affiliate disclosure. No brand pays to be included in an article.

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell me which article and what you found. Factual errors are fixed on the page, and the article’s updated date reflects the change.
